The history of jewelry company Nony New York, Inc lasted less than a decade. Registered in 1988 as a domestic business corporation located at 320 West 37th Street, New York, N.Y. Nony ceased to exist in 1997. The company produced shoe clips, cufflinks, pins, earrings, pendants, bracelets, necklaces, tie clips, and brooches. However, the bulk of the products were button covers and cufflink caps.

The company created button covers in sets, usually from 5-6 different buttons on the same theme or in a single style. The design of the sets was diverse – from heraldic with an antique look and art deco, to fashionable podium and classic. There was also a wide line of themed buttons for holidays – Christmas, Easter, Halloween, etc.

Accordingly, the material for creating button covers was also diverse. Metal alloys, copper, bronze, silver and even gold, to wood, bakelite, lucite, seashells, glass and rhinestones.

Luckily for lovers of vintage costume jewelry, button covers have become one of the fashion trends of 2025!

Decorative button covers can radically change the appearance of clothes and emphasize individuality. In the era of mass production, decorative covers allow you to stand out from the crowd. Covers are suitable not only for clothes, but also for accessories (bags, shoes) and even for interior decor (pillows, curtains, furniture).

Button covers made in various shapes, colors, styles, and materials, give a special charm. For example, metal covers (brass, steel, silver) look stylish and expensive. They are suitable for classic and elegant looks. Light and bright plastic covers are ideal for casual style and children’s clothing.
