Knoll & Pregizer Vintage Jewelry

The history of manufacturer of watches and jewelry Knoll & Pregizer began in 1887 in Pforzheim, Germany, founded by Theodor Eberhard Friedrich Knoll (1851-1928) and Friedrich Pregizer (1882-1961). Knoll & Pregizer created jewelry from 1887 to 1975.
Each Knoll & Pregizer creation is a handcrafted sterling silver piece using the finest paste, imitation of diamonds, rubies, sapphires and emeralds. Sometimes KP jewelers used semi-precious stones such as amethyst and onyx. The maker’s mark on the reverse traditionally includes the crossed letters K and P. Knoll & Pregizer designs are inspired by Edwardian, French Belle Époque and Art Deco.

Noteworthy, The Jewelers’ Circular and the Horological Review and the Jewelers’ Weekly Consolidated first mentioned the Pforzheim firm Knoll & Pregizer in 1907. In particular, the unique necklace clasp invented in 1901.
According to a 1969 publication in the magazine Gold+ Silber Uhren+ Schmuck, the company Knoll & Pregizer from Pforzheim participated in the exhibition at the New York Hilton Hotel and the Hotel Americano from August 3 to 7, 1969. Other companies from Pforzheim also participated. Among them were Ernst Gideon Bek & Co., Erwin Kircher, Theodor Klotz, Joseph Schmid, Wilhelm Wetzel, and Theodor Wolf.
Exquisite Knoll & Pregizer jewelry shows the fine jewelry work of great German masters, which has stood the test of time – more than a hundred years. Today, any K&P jewelry is highly collectible, the price of which will increase every year.
